Advanced AFib Technology - detection of Atrial Fibrillation

Mediblink Blood pressure monitor M520 AFib enables detection of Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), one of the most common heart rhythm disorders in which the heart beats irregularly, unevenly, or often too quickly. Atrial fibrillation often occurs without obvious symptoms, so users may not even be aware of it. If left undetected, it can lead to blood clots, stroke, or other serious cardiovascular complications. The advanced AFib algorithm helps provide early warning of possible irregularities, enabling timely intervention and prevention of serious complications.

Advanced MAM Technology - automatic third measurement

Advanced MAM Technology (Measurement Averaging Mode) automatically performs two consecutive measurements. If the monitor detects a deviation between the two measurements, it automatically performs a third measurement. This measurement method, combined with the AFib function, enables even more reliable results and a greater possibility of detecting irregular heart rhythms.

Advanced IHB (PAD) Technology - detection of heart rhythm disorders and arrhythmias

Advanced IHB Technology (Irregular Heartbeat Detection) or PAD Technology (Pulse Arrhythmia Detection) detects irregular heart rhythms and cardiac arrhythmias. During blood pressure measurement, the monitor analyzes the time intervals between individual heartbeats. If it detects deviations from the normal rhythm, it alerts the user with a special symbol on the display. Irregular heartbeat may be caused by stress, fatigue, lack of sleep, heart disease, or other health problems, which is why early warning of irregularities enables faster and more timely intervention.

Advanced MDI Technology - measurement during cuff inflation

With conventional blood pressure monitors, the cuff first inflates strongly, and the device then detects pulse waves and calculates blood pressure during gradual air release. Advanced MDI Technology (Measurement During Inflation) enables blood pressure measurement already during cuff inflation, rather than only during deflation, making the measurement faster and often requiring lower inflation pressure. This is a modern and user-friendly technology that provides faster and more comfortable blood pressure measurement by preventing excessive cuff tightening on the arm.

AVG Function - average of the last three measurements

In everyday life, blood pressure is often measured too quickly, without prior rest or relaxation, so a single measurement may not always reflect the actual condition accurately. AVG Function (Average) calculates and displays the average of the last three measurements, helping provide more realistic and reliable results based on the user’s habits by considering the average value of all three measurements.

Use it by USB-C cable with power adapter or with batteries

Mediblink Blood pressure monitor M520 AFib can be used in two ways:

• With included AA batteries - The included high-quality batteries allow approximately 400 measurements, making the monitor suitable for travel or use in places where electrical power is not always available. The device displays a low battery symbol to notify the user in time to replace the batteries, helping ensure accurate measurements.
• By included USB-C cable with power adapter - Using the included USB-C cable with power adapter is an economical and eco-friendly solution. Constant purchase of new batteries is not necessary, making it a more cost-effective and environmentally friendly long-term solution while also reducing battery waste. Users who measure blood pressure several times a day can save significantly in this way.

Additional savings are provided by the automatic shut-off function – if no button is pressed for three minutes, the monitor automatically switches off. 

WHO blood pressure level indicator - quick understanding of the results

According to the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), the monitor displays blood pressure values using a clear color scale, allowing fast and easy interpretation of the results. Users do not need to search separately for the meaning of the reading – the display itself clearly shows which range the measured blood pressure value belongs to. The colors help users quickly understand whether the measured blood pressure is within the recommended range, slightly elevated, or already too high and requires additional attention.

Blood pressure monitor includes a universal-size upper arm cuff suitable for arm circumferences from 22 to 42 cm, fitting the vast majority of adult users. This arm circumference range covers approximately 95% of the adult population, so purchasing an additional cuff is usually unnecessary.
